LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Two men who allegedly planned to rob a Lafayette man the week before he was murdered now face additional, unrelated charges.
35-year-old Wesley Howard Coffey and 31-year-old Edward Zaragoza were charged this week in Tippecanoe County Superior Court One.
Both face felony charges of burglary and theft. Coffey faces three additional burglary charges and two other theft charges for another incident.
According to court documents, Coffey allegedly broke into the Broncho's Dance Club in April 2009 and stole nearly $20,000 from a safe, while Zaragoza acted as a lookout. The Club's owner, Valentin Ledezma, told police that Coffey had been doing some work around Broncho's for him.
Coffey is also alleged to have broken into a local storage facility around the same time frame.
Both men have been named in previous court documents for allegedly plotting the robbery of Kory Rogers this April. Rogers was later murdered.
