LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - A business located in a strip mall next to the Lafayette Meijer was hit with an overnight burglary.

Lafayette police received a call about a burglary at the SalonCentric beauty store shortly after 1 a.m. Wednesday.

Lafayette dispatchers had received a call just minutes earlier about a Subway store, also located in the strip mall. An alarm was triggered but no break-in was apparent.

The robbers entered the store through the front door by use of excessive force.

A silver SUV was seen leaving the area as police arrived on scene.

The investigation is currently ongoing.

If you have any information, call Lafayette police at (765) 807-1200 or the We-Tip hotline at 1 (800) 78-CRIME.
