MUNCIE, Ind. (AP) - A central Indiana woman faces drunken driving charges after State Police say they clocked her driving nearly 100 mph with her two children in the car.
Twenty-nine-year-old Melissa Lyght of Muncie was arrested Monday in Delaware County on driving while intoxicated charges. Police said her blood-alcohol content was more than twice Indiana's legal limit. She was released Tuesday after posting bond.
Police pulled Lyght over Monday after they recorded her car traveling northbound on State Road 67 at 96 mph, or 41 miles over the speed limit.
Lyght also faces two charges of neglect of a dependent because her 3-year-old son and six-month-old daughter were passengers in the car.
The children have been released to a relative.
