LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Lafayette Police Dispatchers say a car hit another car and left the scene in Lafayette Thursday morning.

Dispatchers said it happened just after 11:00 a.m.

A dispatcher told NewsChannel 18, "It was a simple hit and run. There was no injury, and the victim says it was a black car that hit him and sped away."

The car failed to yield at a red light and hit the other car who had a green light.

Dispatchers also said police are actively searching for the car involved.

NewsChannel 18 has a crew on the scene and will bring you photos and video as soon as we can.
