LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Lafayette police confirmed a man was shot in the leg at an apartment at 501 S. 16th St. in Lafayette.
Police said the call came in just before 11:30 Sunday morning. Police said the man has been taken to an area hospital, and is expected to recover.
According to police, the apartment complex where the shooting occurred is next to a church. Police said at the time of the shooting, a mass was taking place inside the church. According to police, nobody inside the church heard the gunshots.
Police continue to conduct interviews.
