Cop pleads not guilty in forgery case

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - - Indiana State Police Sgt. Rick Reed entered a not guilty plea Tuesday during his initial appearance in Marion County Criminal Court 6. Reed was charged with six felony counts of forgery on Friday.

Police say the 53-year-old is accused of forging sales purchase price information on vehicle titles which resulted in lower sales tax payments

Reed is scheduled to appear in court for a pre-trial at 1:30 p.m. May 7. He will not use a public defender.

He was released on bond.
