TIPPECANOE CO., Ind. (WLFI) - For the second time in a week, a different judge has been assigned to determine the sentence of a Lafayette veteran who fired shots outside a bar last year.
On Wednesday Judge Thomas Busch was randomly assigned to sentence Eric Braman, 24, of a misdemeanor charge of carrying a handgun without a license, after Judge Les Meade recused himself.
According to the County Clerk's office, Judge Busch recused himself from the case Friday afternoon and Judge Gregory Donat was randomly selected. No reason was given for the recusal.
A date for Braman's sentencing has not been set.
In August, Braman was found not guilty on a felony charge of criminal recklessness but guilty of the misdemeanor charge.
