MONTICELLO, Ind. (WLFI) - Monticello police continue to follow leads in their homicide investigation.

Tye Rentfrow, 29, was shot in the torso around 3:15 a.m. Thursday on West Washington Street. He was taken to IU White Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Chief Randy Soliday told News 18 Friday that his detectives are following up on leads as they come in, but could not comment if police have any persons of interest.

He also would not comment about the neighbor who told News 18 Thursday he saw three people leaving Rentfrow's home soon after the shots were fired.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Monticello Police Department at (574) 583-2256 or the anonymous WeTip Hotline at 1-800-78-CRIME.
