Molester of 12-year-old girl gets 30 years

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - A child molester who forced a 12-year-old girl to give him oral sex on multiple occasions was sentenced to almost three decades in prison this week.

Jason Deaton, 40, of Lafayette was convicted in November on two counts of child molestation.

Investigators said Deaton is an acquaintance of the child's mother.
    
Prosecutor Pat Harrington said Deaton was sentenced to 28 years in prison and two years of supervised probation. He also must register as a sexually violent predator.
