LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The two men who robbed a delivery driver last March in Lafayette have been sentenced to several years in prison apiece.
According to court documents, on March 15, Larenzo Johnson and Antonio White planned to “hit a lick.” White brought a bb gun that appeared to be a handgun.
Documents say the two approached a pizza deliver driver, using the excuse of asking him about buses in the area.
As the driver was about to leave, White pulled out the bb gun and either Johnson or White said to the driver, “Give me your money, fatty.”
The driver handed over all his money, which was only about $17. The driver was unable to identify White or Johnson in a line-up, but both men later admitted to participating in the robbery.
Johnson pleaded guilty to armed robbery and has been sentenced to 10 years – 6 years in a correctional facility, 4 years suspended on probation.
White received 8 years as his sentence – 6 years in a correctional facility and 2 years suspended on probation.
