LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - A Lafayette man is arrested after police said he stabbed a man in the eye with a knife Monday.
It all happened on the 1100 hundred block of North 12th Street, near the intersection of 12th and Heath around 7:00 p.m.
Officers said when they arrived, Levi Stewart was still inside the apartment, the other man was on the front porch next door with a knife still in his eye.
Witnesses have told police the two men had some sort of dispute earlier in the day and while police aren't sure what the fight was about, they said alcohol helped fuel it.
Both men were rushed to the hospital with injuries.
Stewart was later released and then arrested on a preliminary charge of battery with a deadly weapon.
