TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - A West Lafayette man has been sentenced to 3 ½ years behind bars after he admitted to shooting his friend in the back several times.
Court documents say it happened on June 1, 2012, outside a home in West Lafayette.
Fifty-one-year-old Jeffrey Hancher had been drinking when he shot 52-year-old Martin Denney outside a home on Huron Road in West Lafayette.
Denney was taken to an area hospital and was treated for his injuries.
Hancher will serve 3 ½ years in prison and 1 ½ years on supervised probation.
