INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A man arrested on numerous charges including kidnapping, rape and shooting at police officers was sentenced to 99 years in prison Tuesday.

A judge sentenced Vincent Smith , also known as Sherman Smith and Yohau Flame, to a total of 99 years behind bars.

Back in 2011,  Smith was arrested in connection with the kidnapping and rape of a woman he then dropped off at the Indianapolis International Airport.

That same year, police say he tried to kill a different woman when he stabbed her and then set fire to her home .

Smith had no attorney during his trial,  choosing instead to represent himself.

The jury found him guilty on all six counts on Dec. 19.
