MONTICELLO, Ind. (WLFI) - A Monticello man pleaded guilty to unemployment insurance fraud charges this week.
According to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, 44-year old Kenneth Asbury admitted to purposefully defrauding the system and receiving benefits while working full-time.
Asbury was given four years in prison, with work release privileges.
He was also ordered to pay nearly $60,000 back to the Department of Workforce Development.
That includes the more than $33,000 in benefits he received and more than $25,000 in penalties and interest.
