TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - A 33-year-old man is being held in jail on a hefty bond after being charged with dealing cocaine this week.
Lafayette Police Sgt. Neil Dale says early Thursday morning about a half hour after midnight, members of the Lafayette Police Department (LPD) Street Crimes Unit attempted to locate Antonio D. McCaster.
LPD had developed information that he was in the vicinity of 1000 Fannon Drive in Lafayette. McCaster was wanted on warrant for dealing cocaine, a warrant that originated from an investigation by the Tippecanoe County Drug Task Force in which McCaster sold crack cocaine to an undercover detective in 2012.
McCaster, a resident of Lafayette, was found and arrested without incident. He was booked into the Tippecanoe County Jail on the warrant for dealing cocaine (a Class A Felony) and is being held on a $50,000 bond.
The investigation continues. If you have information about this case or any other criminal activity, contact LPD or the Tippecanoe County Drug Task Force at 765-807-1200, or report information anonymously through the WeTip hotline at 800-78-CRIME.
