WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - West Lafayette police are investigating after they said a 21-year-old woman was stabbed in the face near the State Street bridge.
Officers said it happened shortly before 10 p.m. Thursday.
Police said the suspect ran away before officers were able to arrive on the scene.
The woman was taken to Franciscan St. Elizabeth East Hospital with injuries to her chin, neck and upper chest that are not expected to be life-threatening.
Detectives said there was a dispute between two males and a female which resulted in the woman being stabbed.
West Lafayette police located the suspect, 25-year-old Dustin McKee, at a residence in the 600 block of South Street in Lafayette where he was taken into custody without incident.
McKee faces four preliminary felony charges: battery with a deadly weapon, attempted battery with a deadly weapon, intimidation with a deadly weapon and criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.
