JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (AP) - Southern Indiana police are searching for a man who allegedly shot his wife twice in front of her three children.
WLKY-TV reports that Jeffersonville police say the woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries in early Thursday's shooting and is hospitalized in stable condition.
Police are searching for 41-yearold Frederick Miller, who fled on foot from the apartment complex where the shooting occurred.
Jeffersonville Detective Todd Hollis tells WDRB-TV that Miller and his wife were fighting when she tried to leave with her three children through a window.
Hollis says Miller prevented his wife from exiting through the window and when she tried again to escape "he shot her — and shot her again — all with the children present."
