Fugitive Search - Lanekia Anderson

LAFAYETTE, Ind (WLFI) - A woman convicted of having cocaine is the subject of this week's Fugitive Search.

Lanekia Monique Anderson is a 31 year old black female.  She is 5'7', 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Lafayette Police Detective Matt Devine said this case stems from an investigation by the street crimes unit in January 2008. He said an undercover officer purchased crack cocaine from Anderson.

"As a result of the ensuing investigation, Lanekia Monique Anderson was charged with dealing cocaine," said Devine. "She plead guilty to a less offense of Possession of Cocaine. She was sentenced to Community Corrections. In April, a warrant was issued seeking to revoke her probation because she violated terms of her house arrest."

Devine said Anderson absconded from house arrest.
