LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Local law enforcement agencies hope to make it easier for you to be aware of crime trends in your neighborhood.

The Lafayette and West Lafayette Police Departments and Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Office unveiled their latest piece of technology, the web site crimereports.com.

Anyone can access the site to find a breakdown of crime reports, police activity and sex offender information. You can also get crime alerts for your neighborhood.

One man says it will be hugely helpful to his neighborhood watch program.

"I'd say go do it now, just like I'm going to do when I get home," said Marty Parks, of the Green Acres neighborhood. "So much information, so helpful and so much quicker. It was just amazing, amazing."
