Lafayette police searching for burglar

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Lafayette Police are searching for a man convicted of burglary.

Lafayette Police Detective Matt Devine said Christopher Paul Smith is 5'6" and weighs 150 pounds. He is bald and has blue eyes. Smith has several noticeable tattoos on his arms and chest.

Devine said Smith pleaded guilty to burglary in 1999 and was sentenced to jail time and probation.

"Eventually through probation he was put on work release, and in November a warrant was issued for his arrest because he did not return to work release," Devine said.
