LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Lafayette police need your help finding a man who failed to show up for court after he was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

40-year-old David Speer is the focus of this week's Fugitive Search.

Speer is a white male who is 5'10" tall and weighs about 150 pounds.

Police said Speer is not only wanted on a warrant, he's also a suspect for a recent hit-and-run investigation.

"A truck that was registered to Mr. Speer fled from police and there was a brief pursuit and the officers were not able to locate the driver. But the vehicle that was registered to him was involved in striking a parked car," said LPD Technician, Matt Devine.

If you have any information on his whereabouts, you're asked to call Lafayette police or the anonymous We-Tip hotline at 1-800-78-CRIME.
