LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Lafayette police were called to a home located on the city's south side Tuesday morning on a report of a stabbing.
The call came in just after 7 a.m. Tuesday.
Police dispatchers said the home is located in the 900 block of South 10th St. The home is called Indiana Mentor Group Home.
LPD Sgt. Tony Kenner said the investigation is still ongoing, however, it appears a client in a group home setting got violent with multiple people at the home.
Sgt. Kenner says 20-year-old Jacob Thorn hit a staff member of the home, ran away, grabbed a knife and stabbed a fellow resident of the group home.
Police have Thorn in custody.
A woman was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
News 18 has a crew on the scene and we continue to gather information.
