Kokomo police arrest three after fight and shots fired

KOKOMO, Ind. (WLFI) - Three suspects were arrested by Kokomo police after complaints of a fight and shots fired.

Police said around 1:50 a.m. they responded to the area of 101 W. Butler in reference to a fight.

Dispatchers then received complaints of shots fired in the same area.

Officers located a vehicle shortly after arriving that they believe to be part of the incident. They stopped the vehicle and questioned the people inside.

Investigators questioned several people in regards to the incident which ultimately led to the arrest of three people.

23-year-old Derek Gilbert of Kokomo was arrested for Criminal Recklessness (Class C felony), 18-year-old Adamiya Wilhelm of Kokomo was arrested for Illegal Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor (Class C misdemeanor), and 23-year-old Zachary VanNass was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant for Theft (Class D felony).

No one was injured in the incident.
