SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) - A northern Indiana woman accused of failing to report abuse that led to her 10-year-old grandson's death collapsed in a courtroom, temporarily delaying her neglect trial before it went to a St. Joseph County jury

The South Bend Tribune and WSBT-TV report 53-year-old Dellia Castile fell over about 9 a.m. Wednesday as she was walking from the jury box. No jurors were in the courtroom at the time.

Paramedics removed Castile from the courthouse on a stretcher, but she returned to the courtroom later. The defense rested, attorneys gave their closing arguments, and the judge provided instructions to the jury.

She's charged with failing to report abuse in the November 2011 death of her grandson, Tramelle Sturgis. The boy's father was convicted in his death.
