Lafayette investigators continue to search for the person who fled after the fleeing car crashed into a Brookston yard, but the driver of the car has been released from the hospital and put in jail.

Police are also searching for a second gun they believe was thrown out of the car during the chase.

As for the driver of the car, 20-year-old Corey Kirts, he was released from an Indianapolis hospital Monday night.

He is now in the Tippecanoe County jail.
