INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Indianapolis police are looking for the public’s help in finding a Lafayette man wanted for aggravated battery.

A warrant has been issued for 28-year-old Paul Smith, who is a white man about 5-foot-10 and 215 pounds.

Officials with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department say they believe Smith went to a private party he wasn’t invited to and a fight ensued. He likely had significant injuries to his jaw and face, and he may have been armed with a knife.

Smith is known to frequent Turtle Creek Apartments, 8253 Harcourt Road.

Anyone with information about Smith’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
