LOGANSPORT, Ind. (WLFI) - An Indiana conservation officer said an 11-year-old girl fired a 20-gauge shotgun into a door jamb, striking her 14-year-old sister in the head with pellets.

Officer Brenda Louthain told the Logansport Pharos-Tribune the accidental shooting occurred Saturday at a home outside Logansport.

The older girl went to Logansport Memorial Hospital for treatment. Louthain declined to provide more information on the girl's injuries.

Louthain said the 11-year-old told her she was "playing CSI'' at the time. The television program of the same name dramatizes crime scene investigations.

Louthain said the girls' parents were not home at the time.
