CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) - A Carmel art gallery owner is facing preliminary charges for patronizing a prostitute.

Police say Evan Lurie called a phone number that had been used by a prostitute in an online ad. Lurie did not know that police had that number and the woman that answered was a vice officer.

According to the police report, Lurie and the officer set up a meeting at a hotel to have sex.

When Lurie arrived and a deal was made, officers arrested him.

Lurie is also facing preliminary charges of possession of drug paraphernalia for having a marijuana pipe in his possession.
