Fugitive Search - Robert McKendrie

LAFAYETTE, Ind (WLFI) - Lafayette Police are asking for the public's help in tracking down a convicted burglar.

Robert Charles McKendrie is a 43-year-old white male. He is 5'9", 200 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.

Lafayette Police Detective Matt Devine said this case started when a security alarm sounded at a tavern on the city's southside. "Officers arrived and stopped a truck leaving the area," said Devine. "The officers detained two subjects in the truck. The guys were found to be in possession of burglary tools."

 McKendrie pleaded guilty to Burglary and was sentenced to the department of Corrections and probation. Detective Devine said a warrant was issued for McKendrie's arrest because he was rejected from work release.
