LAFAYETTE, Ind (WLFI) -
A man convicted of robbery is the subject of this week's
Fugitive Search.
Jerry Dean Marxmiller is a 44-year-old white male. He is 6'1", 185 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.
Lafayette Police Detective Matt Devine says this case
started in August 2003 when a clerk at the Village Pantry on
Greenbush Street noticed a man acting suspicious outside the store.
"She thought she might get robbed," said Devine. "The guy came in
and robbed the store. At first she thought it was a joke. She
recognized the customer as a regular."
Marxmiller pleaded guilty to the robbery and was sentenced to a combination of incarceration and probation. Detective Devine said the prosecutor's office filed a petition seeking to revoke Marxmiller's probation because of a recent arrest for drunk driving in Vermillion County, Indiana.
