Father allegedly whipped children

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - A Lafayette resident is facing child abuse charges after he allegedly hit his two children with an electrical extension cord.
Rhon Sheron was arrested Tuesday.
Sheron's 11-year-old daughter told the school nurse that her father hit her with an extension cord.
Police said they found visible welts on the body of both the 11-year-old girl and her 13-year-old brother.
Sheron faces two felony charges of battery on a child resulting in injury.
