LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Two brothers are giving new meaning to sibling rivalry.

Lafayette police Sergeant Jay Rosen said a verbal argument between two Lafayette brothers turned violent Tuesday when one brother, Travis Hood, pulled out an imitation samurai sword and began to duel with his brother who had armed himself with a three-foot-long fence post.

Travis Hood's brother did receive superficial cuts during the fight.

Their mother tried to call 911 as the boys were fighting, but Travis Hood allegedly knocked the phone out of her hand.

Hood could face charges of intimidation with a deadly weapon, battery, and interference with reporting a crime.
