LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Lafayette police need your help finding a woman who is accused of trying to use counterfeit bills at several stores in the area.
Donilla Dismukes or Nelly is the focus of this week's fugitive search.
Dismukes is a black female who is 5’7” tall and weighs about 200 pounds.
NewsChannel 18 reported in June that Dismukes, along with two other people, would try to pass bills at stores like WalMart, Menards and PetSmart.
Police say the counterfeit ring started in Chicago and ended here in Lafayette, where all three suspects were caught and charged.
"Miss Dismukes was arrested at the time, was released on bond, and the court has since issued a warrant for her arrest for the case,” said Detective BT Brown.
Detective BT Brown said Dismukes is believed to be in the Tippecanoe County area or in Chicago.
If you have any information on her whereabouts, you're asked to call Lafayette Police or the anonymous We-Tip hotline.
