Boy playing with lighter starts bed on fire in Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) Fire crews responded to reports of a house fire on High Street in Fort Wayne on Tuesday morning.  When they arrived on the scene they found a bed on fire.

The call came in at about 8:00 am. for a fire at 1320 High Street.  

According to investigators on the scene, two boys, ages 12 and 8, were in the home alone when one of the boys who was playing with a lighter lit a bed on fire.

The two were able to get out of the home and neither were injured.
