WEST LAFAYETTE -
Benton County Emergency Management Director Randy Kitterman said power came back to Earl Park
around 5:30 a.m. He said REMC and NIPSCO crews are following up with individual circuit repairs and
fallen trees on power lines.
Carroll County Sheriff's Department reported restored power in the northern part of the county where
NIPSCO services. The department spoke with REMC and said the company is still working to restore
power to its residents.
Cass County Emergency Management Director Alvin Beckman said power was restored to most of the Logansport area, but scattered outages still remain. He said about 600 to 700 homes between 300 and 600 North as well as homes between 675 West and 800 East, in Hover, are still without power.
A staff person with the White County Emergency Management Department reported that power was
restored in the area. She also said the shelter at the United Methodist Church in Monticello, one of the last shelters
open, closed. Pastor Brian Beeks said the shelter inside his church wrapped up at 8:00 a.m. He said
the Red Cross served 12 people.
