LAFAYETTE - Both stores see customers bringing in more items to sell and purchasing items, typically at a lower price.

Assistant Manager of Plato's Closet Casey Ristau said customers want to make money and save at the same time.

"Times are hard right now for everyone and coming here and shopping here has been a release, I feel, for a lot of people," said Ristau.

"People are bringing things in and buying here instead of bringing things in and buying elswhere.  It's so much easier than a garage sale as far as getting stuff in and processed the same day, getting cash or a check to them so they have some extra spending money," said Kristina Gochenour, Once Upon A Child Assistant Manager.
