SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) - Police say a man in his 90s died after he became trapped under a piano inside his home near South Bend.
St. Joseph County police Sgt. Bill Redman say that family members checked on him Tuesday evening after not hearing from him for much of the day. He was pronounced dead when emergency crews arrived.
Redman tells the South Bend Tribune that investigators believe the man was moving items to prepare for an upcoming auction, as he planned to soon join his wife in a retirement home.
Police didn't immediately release the man's name.
