Tipp. wind farm announcement planned

TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - Performance Services has announced on its website the development of a wind farm in Tippecanoe County.

The company states that the farm, Performance Park Wind Farm, will be dedicated to K-12 public schools and higher education customers.

The website states that the farm is expected to be complete by 2012, and will include 25 two-megawatt wind turbines.

This wind farm development announcement is the first for Tippecanoe County. An official announcement and news event is scheduled for September 7.
