TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - The burn bans in Tippecanoe, White and Carroll Counties have been lifted.

The ban was put into effect on June 18 in Tippecanoe County.

In the wake of this week's rainfall, Tippecanoe County commissioners and White County commissioners met Friday morning to consider lifting the ban.

President Tom Murtauh said after consulting with the Emergency Management Director, commissioners lifted the ban and decided the prohibition against using commercial fireworks is no longer necessary.
