GREATER LAFAYETTE AREA, Ind. (WLFI) - In a special Facebook event Thursday, you can “talk” online about groundwater with an environmental scientist.
In honor of National Groundwater Awareness Week, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) says Facebook followers of the DNR can join in on a Facebook-wall conversation with environmental scientist Monique Riggs from 2 to 3 p.m. EDT Thursday.
Riggs will talk and answer questions about why it’s crucial to properly construct and maintain wells and plug abandoned wells. Participants are invited to join the conversation and ask questions.
Future topics, instructions on how to join a conversation on Facebook and commenting guidelines are posted here.
To join a chat, head to the DNR’s Facebook wall and click “like” if you are not already a Facebook friend.
You can begin typing in questions during the time slot, and the DNR experts will answer questions as time allows.
Comments WLFI.com is migrating to a more stable commenting system called DISQUS. This system is used by CNN, TIME, FOX News, numerous blogging sites and has over 75 Million registered users. Unfortunately we can't migrate our current user accounts to this new system.
