WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - With the early onset of extremely dry conditions, Purdue agricultural experts say recovery time is running out for Indiana farmers.
They said it's not time to hit the panic button yet, but two of the state's biggest crops, corn and soybeans, are nearing crucial periods.
Corn produce could become problematic if conditions stay dry through the first part of July.
Soybeans would last until August.
Ag economists said rain in July or August would help, but crops are projected to be lower than annual trends.
