LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - It’s almost time for the Holiday Open House Farmers Market, where you can grab seasonal fruits, vegetables, meats, cheeses and gifts for your winter-season celebration.

The farmers market is from 8 a.m. to noon this Saturday in Downtown Lafayette on Fifth Street between Columbia and Main streets.

A full bounty of squash, pumpkins, greens, beets, broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, carrots, grapes, pears, apples and more will be available to grace your holiday table.

In addition to fruits and vegetables, local meats and eggs from area farmers can be found for your fall table at the mini market. Gifts for your holiday host such as baked sweets, jams and jellies, pickles and relishes, breads and artisanal crafts can be purchased.

The Historic Lafayette Farmers Market season runs from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. every Saturday on Fifth Street downtown, from May to October.

It also runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Thursday at Centennial Mall on Purdue’s campus from May to October.

Special Mini Markets are featured in the early spring and late fall in conjunction with downtown events.
