LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - A unique type of tour is set for the Greater Lafayette Area this weekend.

One of the stops on the 11-site tour is the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design or LEED Building at 515 Columbia Street in Lafayette.

Tom Andrew with Clear-Blue-Green says it is a chance for the public to learn what the community is doing to go green, and also see steps of how they can do the same.

"Hopefully they can see places in the community, businesses in the community that are taking these steps, these actions to better the community and better their business,” said Andrew. “They can ask people how they do it and come and actually talk to people that are doing it."

He said there is something for everyone interested in going Green.

"There will be a house that uses all sustainable material,” added Andrew. “You can ask how it helps your energy bill. We will tell you what all the numbers mean and how they can help your energy cost, that kind of thing."
