LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Ah, Thanksgiving. We all want that special meal to taste as delicious as possible, and here’s a green way you can make it taste even better!

Fresh, local fruits, vegetables, meats, cheeses and gifts will be featured at the Thanksgiving Farmers Market from 8 a.m. to noon this Saturday.

A full array of squash, pumpkins, greens, beets, broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, carrots, grapes, pears, apples and more will be available to grace your holiday table.

In addition to fruits and vegetables, local meats and eggs from area farmers can be found for your Thanksgiving table at the mini market. Gifts for your holiday host such as baked sweets, olive oil, jams and jellies, pickles and relishes, breads and artisanal crafts can be purchased.

The Historic Lafayette Farmers Market season runs every Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on 5th Street in Downtown Lafayette and on Thursday afternoon from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Centennial Mall on the campus of Purdue University May through October. Special Mini Markets are featured in the early spring and late fall in conjunction with downtown events.
