INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WLFI) - A new initiative is underway to help make Hoosier homes more energy efficient. It's called "Energizing Indiana."
Homeowners can call for a free energy assessment. An inspector then comes to assess the heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems in your home to determine if they are operating efficiently. Reservations are filling up quickly.
Not all utility providers are participating in the program. To find out if you qualify for a free energy assessment, call Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (888) 446-7750.
For more information on the program, check out its website .
