INDIANAPOLIS (WLFI) - Purdue is holding an energy-management standards workshop next week in Indianapolis.

The University’s Manufacturing Extension Partnership is offering the workshop, which will focus on implementing the ISO 5000I international energy management standard.

Participants will get the chance to learn more about how the standard will drive improvement in energy performance and better a company’s bottom line by reducing energy consumption and costs.

One benefit of implementing the ISO 5000I international energy management standard? Energy management knowledge companies gain at the workshop will help them be more prepared for possible future regulations of greenhouse gas emissions.

The workshop runs from 8 a.m. to noon Dec. 13 in Intech Park in Indianapolis. The cost is $99 per person.

You must register by Dec. 11 to attend. You can find more information on registration at Purdue’s events website.
