Search process begins for next Indiana student commissioner

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (Exponent) - A Purdue student who leads as student commissioner for the Indiana Commission for Higher Education will be ending his term in June.

Keith Hansen, a senior in the College of Engineering, represents students in Indiana by defining the educational missions of several public colleges and universities.

Hansen helps plan and coordinate Indiana’s state-supported system. He also reviews budget requests from public institutions and the State Student Assistance Commission.

Hansen said the best part of his position is getting to see the variety of campuses.
