WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (Exponent) - Beginning in February, a Purdue program will help heal families by recognizing the many different ways children and adults grieve.
In 2006, Heather Servaty-Seib, an associate professor of educational studies in the College of Education, developed “By Remembering I Develop and Grow,” or the BRIDGe. Servaty-Seib hopes the BRIDGe will open people’s understanding of different approaches to grief.
“I think what happens more for grieving people is that there gets to be kind of a sense of prescription about what grief needs to look like,” Servaty-Seib said.
