WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (Exponent) - While most Boilermakers will be staying indoors this weekend, over 200 outdoor enthusiasts will be participating in a 30-mile, 2-day-long adventure race.

The Purdue Outing Club will be hosting its annual Adventure Race fundraiser this weekend at Morgan-Monroe State Forest. The race involves 50 to 60 volunteers and 30 teams braving the cold for the chance to win new hiking gear and bragging rights.

Mary Towers, a sophomore in the College of Engineering, joined the club her freshman year and has participated in many excursions with the group. Her favorite part of the club is being involved with so many events like the Adventure Race.
