WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (Exponent) - Purdue’s College Mentors for Kids program received a $10,000 grant Tuesday morning from AT&T, which will go toward further developing the non-profit organization.
Maria Ibarra, a senior in the School of Management, is the executive vice president of College Mentors for Kids at Purdue – the largest chapter, serving 190 children from the Lafayette area.
“We’re a non-profit organization that only works through awards and fundraising that we do ourselves,” Ibarra said, “so we need all the cash we can get.”
